Peat blocks are being cut out of the upper layer of the peat bog. These blocks are dried and turned mechanically or by hand to reach a water content of 45%. After one year the blocks are being collected, crushed and screened for different grades.

At the KRONEN Group, we combine expertise, sustainability, and quality to deliver unmatched raw materials for your diverse needs.
For the plant:
- high structurally stability
- uniform chemical and physical characteristics
- free of plant pathogenic pests and diseases and harmful substances
- ideal medium for ericaceous plants
For the growing media:
- available in different fractions up to 45 mm
- determines air capacity
- regulates drainage
- ensures long term structural stability
- low pH level allows to adjust the pH for the need of all plant species
- low EC level allows to adjust nutrition exactly for the need of all plant species
- low volume weight
For the environment:
- peat raw materials are exclusively extracted on already drained or degenerated peatland.
